Softchoice Cares is an employee-inspired and employee-driven initiative that reaches across borders to show our caring in a very tangible way.

Guided by our people and a clear focus on fostering sustainable change, this program delivers on the promise of sharing our success, creativity and compassion with those less fortunate in our own communities and around the world.

Reduce - What can Softchoice do to reduce our own waste and be more energy efficient?

Reuse - Schools, non-profits and low-income families here and oversees can benefit from used technology in good working order and help to reduce the digital divide.

Recycle - When electronics are no longer viable they can be taken apart and disposed of properly. Parts can be used to produce working machines for donation.

Restore - How can we help clean up already contaminated land?

Enabling Sustainable Development through Technology

We are currently in the process of selecting local and international charities that fit within our selected cause. All funds raised during this year will be put towards a variety of charities that deal with reducing technology waste, cleaning up damaged ecosystems and bridging the digital divide by providing technology to those who need it the most.

Get educated

Here are a few helpfil tips to help make your business green!
  • Reduce your energy consumption and carbon footprint
  • Use supplies made out of recycled products
  • Encourage "green lunches" with reusable containers and recycling programs

Recycle or donate old technology!

Asset disposal is a hot topic here at Softchoice. Currently, only about 10% of PCs are being properly allocated for recycling. 80% of all the scrap electronics in the United States end up offshore and usually in Third World countries - even after being sent to recycling plants! 230 million personal computers are dumped in landfills every year and over 500 shipping containers full of e-waste arrive in Nigeria every day! Talk to your Softchoice Account Manager about different ways to dispose of old technology or email Softchoice Cares learn about some great charities that will accept them!

Partner with us locally!

Softchoice has local partnerships in all the cities we operate in to help provide technological support and education.

You can donate old technology to learning centers and then even volunteer time to teach computer skills. Help to bridge the digital divide in your own backyard.

Donations to Softchoice Cares goes towards supporting a variety of different charities that deal with reducing technology waste, cleaning up damaged ecosystems and bridging the digital divide by providing technology to those who need it the most both locally and globally.
