The heart of Softchoice’s philanthropic efforts is Softchoice Cares – an employee-driven initiative that enables employees to volunteer and generate positive change in their local communities. Guided by the employee-led Softchoice Cares board, all employees are empowered to support charities of their choosing through: two paid volunteer days each year, fundraising programs in which Softchoice Cares matches the total donations raised, and dozens of local employee-run activities each year that raise money and awareness for worthy causes.

To earn a spot on the Best Workplaces for Giving Back list, organizations must be Great Place to Work Certified™ in the past year, and at least 90 percent of their employees must respond positively in their organization’s survey that they “feel good about the way their company contributes to the community.” The Great Place to Work Institute determined the best organizations based on their overall Corporate Social Responsibility Index score from employees, as well as the range and quality of programs that encourage workplace social responsibility.
