Every year at our annual Launch conference, we recognize the best of the best with awards in front of the whole company. These are Softchoice’s highest honors for leadership, performance and living our values.
Setting our people up for success starts with a proper introduction to Softchoice. That’s one of the reasons we have heavily invested in world-class onboarding programs like our Sales Academy. We also provide opportunities for continuous learning through a variety of technical and leadership development programs.
Fueled by an enlightened culture, continuous learning, and high performing teams, we aspire to be the most admired IT solutions and services provider in North America. Our goal is to double our client base with Services accounting for 25% of revenues by the end of 2018. Everything we do – from organizing our internal resources, to aligning our annual objectives – is centered on achieving these goals.
Every employee in the company is given the option of taking two paid volunteer days a year to give back to a non-profit organization of their choosing. Some elect to take these days to support a personal cause, while others volunteer as a team to do some good and bond over a group activity.
Softchoice encourages its employees to take a cleaner, greener commute and help reduce gridlock by subsidizing the cost of taking public transit to work. We also encourage employees who are able to lead healthy lifestyles by walking or riding their bike to work, too.
Our company has a grassroots, employee-led philanthropic initiative called Softchoice Cares. Its mission is to provide access to technology for those less fortunate in our own communities and around the world. It's led by an all-employee board and is the catalyst for charitable events and giving across the company.
At Softchoice, we welcome our employees to bring their four-legged friends to the office. Bringing your dog to work has well-documented benefits for both the dog and owner, as well as the people around them. Everyone at Softchoice believes exercise and having fun is the key to innovation, and they remind us of this by remaining active themselves. It also helps that we have an on-site, fully-equipped gym in our Toronto office!
At Softchoice, we provide a wide range of end-to-end IT solutions and managed services, representing top brands like Box, Cisco, Dell, IBM, Microsoft and VMware. That means our employees gain exposure and first rate experience with all facets of IT - from cloud and data center, to client hardware and software to managed services and IT consulting.
At the start of every year, Softchoice brings our whole company together (all 1,600+ of us) under the same roof for our annual Launch event. We do it to get aligned on goals and strategy for the year ahead, to recognize employees from all departments who went above and beyond in the previous year, and to encourage team-building across the company.
And, no matter where you're located across the company, we host a monthly Beer Cart on the first Friday of every month to bring colleagues together to connect, network and unwind.
We continually look for new and modern ways to maintain open and transparent communication on the performance, strategy and direction of the company.
Our flagship communications vehicle is an hour-long, webcast talk show called Orange Nation Live that is hosted by Vince De Palma, our President and CEO, and viewed live by the entire corporation.
