Payment and Tax Information


Softchoice offers complete pricing in Canadian and US dollars - the default pricing is $US. To set pricing to Canadian dollars, please be sure to shop in our Canadian store. To access the Canadian store, select the link at the bottom of any Softchoice page. Softchoice is registered to charge all appropriate federal, regional and local sales taxes in both the US and Canada.

If the price listed is a typographical error, Softchoice has the right to refuse or cancel any orders placed at the time of the incorrect price whether or not the order has been paid. Payment terms are net 30 days. Interest on overdue accounts is calculated monthly at a variable rate.

Softchoice's prices are invitations to users. The user's order constitutes an offer which is subject to acceptance by Softchoice.

In order to process your order, you authorize SOFTCHOICE to check the personal information you have provided to us for the purpose of verification of your billing address. You agree that SOFTCHOICE may disclose your personal information to third parties solely for the purpose of verification and that such third parties may provide verification of personal information about you to SOFTCHOICE solely for this purpose.

What are my payment options?

Credit card:

Visa, Mastercard, American Express, American Express p-card (purchase card).

Purchase Orders:

Only available to corporate, government and educational institutions with Softchoice Trade Accounts.

Which taxes apply to my purchase?

Taxes are based on the address that we ship the product to. For example, if you are shipping to Maryland, Maryland taxes apply. Appropriate federal, state or provincial, and county taxes all apply.

Taxes are applicable even though your purchase is online because Softchoice is a "Bricks and Mortar" company and must apply sales tax by law.

How can I apply my tax-exempt status?

Submit all required forms to Softchoice. Softchoice must verify your exempt status before it can be applied to purchases. Please call us at 1-800-268-7638. Softchoice will then set up your profile and billing accordingly.

How long until I receive my order?

Products readily available in large quantities will usually ship out within 1-2 days. Check current shipping times with our Inside Sales Team for products with low stock levels.

What delivery charges can I expect?

Freight is calculated based on weight, dimensions, destination, point of origin, as well as level of service. Level of service is defined as ground, expedited or air shipment. Freight charges are increased based on how quickly you require the shipment.

Next Morning: Arrives the next morning*
Expedited: 1-2 days*
Standard: Approximately 3 days
Economy: Between 5-7 days

What if my items become backordered or the expected delivery time changes?

We will notify you immediately by e-mail or fax of the revised estimated time of delivery. You will have the option to:
Wait for the entire order, split your order (receive the ready-to-ship items and wait for the backordered items), or Cancel the order.
We will not charge you until your items are shipped.
In the absence of instructions from our customer, Softchoice will ship the items we currently have in stock (assuming that the backorder is significant.) We will ship the remainder of the order when it is available. And we'll even pick up the additional delivery charges!

What shipping choices are there?

Softchoice ships all orders via traceable air or ground courier (i.e. UPS, FedEx, Purolator, Airborne), to anywhere in Canada and the United States. You have your choice of 4 different levels of service – ground, air, expedited or next morning shipment. All orders are fully insured at no extra cost. Import tariffs and brokerage fees are already included in the price of the product for your benefit.

Where does Softchoice not deliver?

Softchoice cannot deliver hardware to the following areas :
Armed Forces Atlantic, Armed Forces Europe, Armed Forces Pacific, American Samoa, Northern Mariana, Guam, Puerto Rico, Palau, Caroline Islands, Virgin Islands
