The award recognizes the programming and proven results of the Softchoice Sales Academy – an immersive onboarding program for new Softchoice sales reps designed to quickly ramp their knowledge and skillsets, and get them contributing to customer outcomes faster.

Launched in 2015, the Softchoice Sales Academy is a three-month long sales onboarding program that consists of two phases. The first phase is three weeks of both online e-learning and in-person, trainer-led courses in a classroom environment designed to introduce new recruits to Softchoice sales methodology and basic business acumen, as well as Softchoice’s values, core offerings and go-to-market strategies. Training leaders continually update the curriculum to reflect the changing world of IT. In the second phase, Softchoice development coaches lead the new recruits through an on-the-job experience before they are fully deployed into their roles.
To keep pace with Softchoice’s aggressive growth strategy, the Softchoice Sales Academy graduated 380 new sales reps in 2016, who were deployed to serve customers across North America. In 2016, more than 60 percent of the top performing account managers across Softchoice were former gradates of the Academy, and the company achieved a near perfect 99.9 percent retention rate of all graduates from the 2016 program.
