Best of IEF 2015: Security and the weakest link

Hundreds of top level technology leaders joined together for over 20 IEF events in 2015, to discuss their industries, their fears and their successes.

And during that time, security maintained its place as a key IT focus. But it was different than how it’s traditionally been discussed. Security is no longer simply about building up the protective walls.

Far from it. Security is acknowledging your weakest link are the workers under your roof, and finding ways to deal with that on a human level. Security is about being proactive, and creative, when it comes to keeping the business safe. And, now more than ever, security isn’t just a technology problem – in this digital era, a company’s entire brand and credibility rest on the ability for its users to trust it. Without security, privacy and transparency, you don’t stand a chance.
