Office 365, the successor to Microsoft’s Business Productivity Online Suite (BPOS), entered public beta today. The suite includes cloud-based versions of Exchange Server, SharePoint Server, and Lync Server (formerly Office Communications Online) found in BPOS, and also includes Office productivity, both through Office Web Apps and the full desktop Office 2010 suite.
If your organization is considering taking business productivity off-premise, the Office 365 Beta might be a good starting point. Softchoice also offers an assessment to help you determine if Office 365 meets your technical and business needs, and if so, which licensing path is the most efficient.
